Rumor: Jared goff is hot garbage...Is Jared Goff the long term solution in Los Angeles?
There has been some talk about how Jared Goff is a good quarterback or he can or should be able to win games late, without a run game and with an elite defense...here's why these people are wrong.
Hear me out, but this should not be controversial; Jared Goff is paid $134 Million...$110 Million of which is guaranteed. Here's what he's done to earn it:
Week 4 2018, Win at Home vs. Minnesota Vikings:
26/33 for 465 yards, 5 passing touchdowns.
Week 11 2018, Win at Home vs. Kansas City Cheifs:
33/46 for 413 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown.
2019 Super Bowl loss against the New England Patriots with a QBR of 16.4 our of 100...
But since then the Rams have been a smashing success right?
2019: 62.94% Completion percentage, 4638 yards, 22 TDs and 16 INTs, 2 TDs, 10 Fumbles
2020: 68.21% Completion percentage, 3509 yards, 18 TDs and 11 INTs, 4 rushing TDs, 7 Fumbles
In case you're wondering that's 46 touchdowns and 44 Turnovers.
Enough with the stats though right? He looks good on film and paper. Here are some plays for you to watch:
Super bowl: Jared Goff hit Brandon Cooks in the hands right he should have caught it? He kinda had all day...maybe throw the ball earlier...also props to Jason McCourty for one of the most dynamic where the F*** did you come from plays I've ever seen.
Or this one where he really had a wide open Josh Reynolds (83 for an easy first down) instead throws a dirty ball straight to Stephon Gillmore (24)
I don't know about you but i can thank of at least 20-25 QBs in the league better than Jared Goff...or just maybe he's Andy Dalton and the new Mendoza line. Either way he's not elite and you don't want him starting for your franchise.
